I got up from my bed, and was taking out the loaf of bread. My wife told me yesterday about the tax on the bread. She said that there were too much tax for every single object. Bread, clothes, milk, and meat had so much tax, that it was hard for the poor people to buy these basic materials. She told me that there were only few people buying bread, and rest of the people just staring, and was drooling.
After I got dressed I headed to the door, when I opened the door, two men were talking. One looked like a peasant, or someone poor, and the other looked like a person in power. The poor person had dusty clothes, had dust all over his face, and his hair was messy, and dirty. I could have noticed that he was a important man was when I saw his clothes, and how the poor person was acting nice, and trying to respect the person. They were talking about the tax, and how difficult is for the people to pay a lot of tax in everything. The poor person told the man, that it was difficult to pay the taxes, and it is resolved by his family suffering from hunger, and pain. I heard the fancy man saying, “I don't have the greed to earn much money, but to just maintain my present life.” When I heard this I had to laugh. We all knew that it was a cheap lie to make himself look good, and generous. The man was fat, and the blacksmith was bonny and dirty. It seemed that the he was someone related to the tax, such as a land lord. I felt little bad for the poor person, but I was happy, and I had enough money to buy bread, pay tax, buy properties, and enough customers too. My life was perfect, and I thought that we are in a fair society. God loves us all equally, and that is the fate that God had put him in that social order, and his economic level. After I went to my friend, and asked him how his life is. It seemed like every poor people are having hard time with the tax, and the food that they need. Well, I didn’t care much, because it won’t effect my job, or my money. I gave some money to my friend, and went home.
